Welcome to stART! I hope that you will enjoy our story and art project and maybe even share your own too. All I ask is that you link back to A Mommy’s Adventures somewhere in your post by either adding my button or a text link, so that others can see all the other great projects that everyone shares too! The linky will be open all week. Be sure to stop by and visit the different links…every week there are so many different and fun book and craft ideas!
Check out the stART tab in my navigation bar where you can find our past stART projects. All the books that we have read and did a stART project for are listed in alphabetical order.
This week to celebrate Dr. Seuss’s birthday we read Bartholomew and the Oobleck , by Dr. Seuss and had a great time playing with some homemade Oobleck. Emily also had a lot of fun with our Art Project. We decided to make our own Oobleck picture inspired by the illustrations in the book.
Emily used a black pen on white paper to draw her picture.
Then Emily added the Oobleck . She used a q-tip with green paint.

This is our family holding umbrellas to protect us from the Oobleck that is falling from the sky.
Looks likes it is going to be a Seuss-sational stART this week!
ReplyDeleteLook out for the falling oobleck! LOL, love the picture. I wound up with a late literature connection for our project via a facebook fan and it tied into Dr. Seuss in a convoluted way - PD Eastman was his protege and apparently wrote under the "Seuss" label. How funny - I think Candace is right, a Suessical stART indeed!
ReplyDeleteGreat picture! I hadn't thought of adding our Oobleck to a drawing. Will have to do that next time.
ReplyDeleteI love her picture! The idea of a drawing is so much fun.
ReplyDeleteI'm amused at the sheer number of Seuss projects linked up this time.
Hi Michelle! Emily's drawing is really cool. I love looking at kid's drawing especially at this age. I'm sorry for linking up TWICE to your carnival. It was a mistake. I hope you can fix it.
ReplyDeleteWarmly,

Oh, how fun, Michelle!
