Our Week Having Fun Learning Together!!!

Emily is 47 months old and Juliette is 18 months old

Wow…it has been awhile since I posted so here is a recap of some of the things we have been doing while having fun learning. 

Emily has started to show a real interest in learning how to read.  She asks me what EVERYTHING says and recognizes a handful of words.  I am excited to work on reading with her and love how happy she is when she “reads” something. 

Juliette loves playing with all of the new toys that we got for Christmas and also has really started to enjoy doing art projects with us.  For her art projects are mostly just drawing on a piece of paper, but she LOVES it!

Both Emily and Juliette have fun watching the marbles go through the Marble Racethat Emily received for Christmas.  Juliette spends the whole time picking up the marbles and putting them right back in.  She doesn’t actually even watch, she just loves picking them up and putting them back in.

 

Both Emily and Juliette had fun putting colored popsicle sticks into and empty coffee creamer container.  This was great fine motor skills practice.  Juliette was also very happy to dump them out so they could both do it all over again!

 

Emily went to Disney on Ice with her friends.  She watched the whole thing and was talking about it for days after it.

A new bouncy place opened up near our house and we spent the morning there to celebrate her friends 4th birthday. 

Emily went to see Beauty and the Beast, which was her first play!

 

This Melissa & Doug Geometric Stacker is one of Juliette’s favorites.  She is able to put the pieces on all by herself.

     

Daddy’s friend was staying with us for a few days and he played catch with Emily and Juliette.  They really like the Sensory Ball . 

Juliette actually got this Melissa & Doug Sort and Snap Color Match activity for Christmas and both Emily and Juliette enjoy working on it.

  Emily has been working on some of the preschool skills workbooks that I picked up at the dollar tree.  She has really enjoyed doing them.  Here she did the maze all by herself.
