Our Week Having Fun Learning Together!!!
Emily is 42 months old and Juliette is 13 months old
It has been awhile since I have posted about our week having fun learning together. We have been very busy this summer taking lots of trips and playing outside and with our friends. We are starting to get back into school mode this week though. I am looking forward to sharing all the new things that we are doing as Emily starts Pre-School and Juliette officially becomes that star of TOTSchool!!
Emily got to ride a horse for the first time…she seemed a little nervous but said she loved it!!
While we were at a picnic there was an animal wildlife demonstration by a girl that works at The Theodore Roosevelt Sanctuary & Audubon Center. We were able to see and learn about some of the animals that live at the Wildlife Sanctuary, including a Madagascar hissing Cockroach, Turtle, Red Tailed Hawk, Snack and an Owl. They were even able to hold a turtle shell to see what it looks like inside.
Emily practiced fine motor skills while adding apples to her Toilet Paper Towel Tube Apple Tree.
Sarah made this Find the Letter worksheet for the girls to work on. Emily colored all of the Aa’s with a red crayon.
Emily worked on these apple themed tracing cards from Confessions of a Homeschooler.
For our stART project this week we read Chicka Chicka Boom Boom and made a Handprint Number Apple Tree.
Emily and Juliette had a great time hunting for treasure in the Rice Krispies sensory tub. Juliette found some of the rocks and held them in her one had the whole time.
The girls made mini pudding pies. We put the pudding mix and milk in a Ziploc bag and let the girls squish it all together to mix it, this is the same way that we made astronaut pudding awhile ago for MTM. I cut a corner of the bag off so they could squeeze it into the graham cracker pie crust. Emily loved squeezing it into her mouth too!!
Juliette loves climbing onto this ride on toy. She had fun exploring all of the toys at Sarah’s house while the girls worked on their projects.
Juliette loved playing in the bounce house. She would stand up and then try to jump then lay down. She also enjoyed climbing in and out of the opening to the bounce house! This was a great gross motor skills workout.
