Color Wheels and Clean Finger Painting
First the girls colored with Orange markers…
…then glued on orange collage material. This week I had stickers, pom poms, felt, foam, ribbon, pipe cleaners, straws, and lanyard. ( I have to admit I have so much fun going through our crafting supplies looking for the color of the week to collage with!!)
After the girls finished their color wheel we did some Clean Finger Painting to make orange!
This was fun, easy and very clean!! Each of the girls got a piece of construction paper and a piece of waxed paper. They helped me squirt red and yellow paint onto the construction paper and then we covered it with waxed paper.
The girls got to squish and mush…
…and pat and tap their paint all around the paper. As they did this the two colors mixed together to make orange. I liked that you could still see the yellow and the red too!
I love the color wheel idea!!!
