This week we added Green to our color wheel!

First they colored with green crayons and markers and then they glued on lots of fun green collage materials. We had green pipe cleaners, craft foam, felt, ribbon, stickers, straws and pom poms.
Green Shiny Paint Shamrocks

I originally saw the idea for the shiny paint made with corn syrup and food coloring on Through The Eyes of a Child and couldn’t wait to try it out.

I cut shamrock shapes out of tag board and mixed up some shiny paint in blue and yellow. I drizzled some yellow and green on each shamrock and gave each child got a popsicle stick to mix the colors together. It was fun to watch it turn green!
After they were finished they enjoyed using the paints on a plain piece of white paper. We will definitely be making these paints again!

  2. The color wheel is adorable! I was thinking I should print myself a color wheel for scrapbooking and matching colors. I bet the kids would love to make something like Mommy has!

  3. The color wheels look fantastic. Drizzling the paint onto the shamrocks and then having the children mix it up and make it turn green is a neat idea.

Your rainbow cheesecake looks amazing. How cute to incorporate the rainbow theme into the base as well.
