Kids in the Kitchen ~ Mini Carmel Apples

We made some Mini Carmel Apples this week for our apple themed Muffin Tin Monday. They were really easy to make and Emily really enjoyed being able to make something all by herself (for the most part). These are great for kids because they are much easier to eat too!

I used my Melon Baller to make little apple balls. I got 6 balls from 1 small apple.

I poked a toothpick into each ball and let Emily dip it into Carmel sauce...

...and then some sprinkles!

We are going to make caramel apples sometime this fall too - now I think I'm going to make this smaller version - Matthew will love it (especially the sprinkles)! Thanks for another great idea!

I will have to try this and see if Selena will eat apples fixed this way. She has never been much of a fruit eater not even as a baby starting baby food.

That is such a practical idea! My kids, especially the little ones, never EVER eat an entire caramel apple. They're just too big! These will be perfect for them. Thank you!!!

Thanks for this cute idea! I'm going to make these this week with my soon to be 2 year old :)

Also thanks for sharing "10 apples on top" project. I did the same thing for my preschool class when I taught. I may have to do it again with my daughter :)

What a great blog you have!
